Gov. Walker Contributors

Contributors known to be Koch funding sources in bold & italics.

*We are adding Menard’s to our list. They contributed less than $5000 ($2000) but their CEO also sits on the board of the Wisc. Manufacturers & Commerce. The WMC is a right wing political group that has been heavily mucking into politics. Their board has individually donated huge sums of money into Walker’s Campaign.

Consumer oriented businesses in bold.

I don’t see Home Depot or Menards on here. Thought they had ties to Koch too?

    • Home Depot did not donate directly to Walker’s campaign from what info we have so far. If you have found a reliable source showing that they did please post the web address so we can review it.

Home Depot DOES donate heavily to the various Koch Ind. political front groups and they are on our boycott list for Koch related political contributors. If their involvement with the Koch’s hijacking of America isn’t enough to want to never shop there again there is always this nugget of awful from the Home Depot CEO.

He suggested that CEO’s who don’t agree with his political agenda and funding should be shot.

      Menards:
Menards so far we can not find a direct contribution to Walker’s campaign. Again, if anyone finds such please pass it on. Menards does donate heavily to WMC Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. The WMC is nothing more than a right wing front group. The WMC has deep ties to Walker’s campaign. Most of the board of WMC are major donors to Walker’s campaign.

Menards also has a horrible record on other accounts including abusing employees, skirting labor laws and being very anti-union. So technically Menards didn’t donate to Walker but they are clearly a supporter. We consider Menards to be boycotted by the cumulative of their actions.

  2. KB in WI says:

Damnit so much. I won’t shop at Menards or Home Depot. And now I see Farm and Fleet! Argh.
Where am I going to go for my summer canning needs? They have the best canning supplies in the summer months and some other great stuff.
Any suggestions for someone who cannot go to any of the 3 big box stores anymore?

    • If you have an Ace Hardware they carry a good variety of canning gear. Our True Value carries a few things. Some of the grocery store chains carry packs of jars and lids in the late summer.

  3. Kathleen Granstrom says:

I am sorry that I deleted the email message but I emailed Reiman Publications and they told me in their reply from a Joyce Wies(spelling?) that they did not contribute to Walker’s campaign. I believe she told me an outright lie.

  4. Sherri says:

I do know that Menard’s hold an event once a year “Good Government Day”. He required mid and high management to attend this event and chip in $100 per person. It was optional but, were strongly encouraged to attend. They would have Republician office holders come over and do a speech and collect contributions.
