Reiman Publications Lies About Walker Donations

Another Walker contributor lies about their political donations. If the executives in your company or primary stakeholders give big donations to a campaign, yes your company gave to that campaign. But another one has tried to lie and weasel out of the ramifications of their donation to Walker.

Reiman Publications in WI publishes the following magazines: Country Woman, Farm and Ranch Living, Country and Country, Reminiscence, Taste of Home, Birds and Blooms, Light and Tasty, Backyard Living, Cooking for Two, Taste of Home’s Simple and Delicious

Roberta Reiman is an executive with the company and Roy is the now retired founder. Both gave the maximum contributions of $10,000 each.

One of our readers (Kathleen) contacted Reiman and was told the “employee” who donated no longer works there. Ahem. Please stop lying to the public Reiman Publications.

Add them to the list of businesses like Menards, M&I bank and Johnsonville brats that have all been caught red handed lying to consumers about their political donation in the hopes that they can avoid the push back and boycotts. Companies are so in fear of customers taking their money elsewhere they are willing to lie about their actions.

Sounds like even more reason to boycott a company.

Reiman also has a long track record of unhappy customers being sent to collection over subscriptions they never ordered and other similar games.

How is this for a response that doesn’t acknowledge anything.

    Thomas,

We are aware that there has been some misinformation circulating about campaign contributions to Scott Walker’s race for Governor. To be clear, Wisconsin state law forbids corporate contributions of any kind, to any candidate, and SC Johnson of course complies with t…hose laws. We do not monitor or track individual or employee contributions to candidates.

We hope this helps to clarify any misunderstanding and appreciate the opportunity to share this information with you.

  2. Wow that is quite the load of corporate doublespeak! Thanks for sharing.

Anyone else that gets one of these ridiculous replies please let us know.
